1. An image forming apparatus comprising:
a sheet storage unit configured to store a sheet; a conveyance unit configured to convey the sheet using a two-sided conveyance path used for two-sided printing; a printing unit configured to print an image on the sheet; a setting unit configured to set a print setting for printing an image on a preprinted surface of a preprinted sheet conveyed from the sheet storage unit; a reading unit configured to read a surface of the sheet conveyed using the two-sided conveyance path; a determination unit configured to determine whether the surface read by the reading unit is a preprinted surface; and a print control unit configured, in a case where the print setting has been set and if it is determined that the surface read by the reading unit is a preprinted surface, to execute printing on the sheet conveyed using the two-sided conveyance path, and in a case where the print setting has been set and if it is determined that the surface read by the reading unit is not a preprinted surface, to restrict printing on the sheet conveyed using the two-sided conveyance path, wherein the setting unit sets at least one of the print setting for printing an image on a preprinted surface of a preprinted sheet conveyed from the sheet storage unit and another print setting for printing an image on an unprinted surface of a preprinted sheet conveyed from the sheet storage unit, and wherein the print control unit, in a case where the another print setting has been set and if it is determined that the surface read by the reading unit is a preprinted surface, restricts printing on the sheet conveyed using the two-sided conveyance path, and in a case where the another print setting has been set and if it is determined that the surface read by the reading unit is not a preprinted surface, executes printing on the sheet conveyed using the two-sided conveyance path.
