1. A method for calculating daily weighted averages of glucose measurements collected at a different time with time-based weights comprising:
receiving, by a computer device, a plurality of glucose measurements for a patient from a glucose meter; determining, by the computer device, whether each time interval between two consecutive glucose measurements in the plurality of glucose measurements exceeds a predefined maximum time interval value; computing, by the computer device, electronically an average daily glucose value, which represents the daily weighted average of the glucose measurements, using time based weights with the glucose measurements, wherein only consecutive glucose measurements in the plurality of glucose measurements with acceptable time intervals that do not exceed the predefined maximum time interval contribute to the average daily glucose value; and reporting, by the computer device, the computed daily weighted average of the glucose measurements, where the steps of determining, computing and reporting are implemented by computer executable instructions executed by a computer processor of the computing device. |
