The present invention provides a superconducting wire having efficiency in preventing stripping and performing protection against overcurrent. The superconducting wire comprises: a superconducting wire core having a buffering layer, a superconducting layer, and a capping layer; a first conductive metal outer cover enclosing an outer periphery of the superconducting wire core; and a first insulating outer cover deposited on the conductive metal outer cover. The superconducting wire has an improved superconducting performance when the superconducting wire is operated. Also, various superconducting wire assemblies including a superconducting wire structure may be provided.
