1. An image display apparatus comprising:
a detection unit configured to detect a specific object from an image captured by an image capturing unit; a control unit configured to generate a display image by clipping a partial image including the specific object detected by the detection unit from the image captured by the image capturing unit; and a display unit configured to display the display image along with image capturing information of the image capturing unit, wherein, in a case where the detection unit detects a plurality of specific objects, the control unit generates a plurality of display images each corresponding to a different one of the plurality of specific objects and then determines a priority order for the plurality of display images, wherein the display unit displays each of the plurality of display images in a position according to the priority order determined by the control unit, and wherein the control unit updates the plurality of display images in a case where the priority order is changed and does not update the plurality of display images in a case where the priority order is not changed.
