A liquid crystal display according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a substrate, a thin film transistor arranged on the substrate, a pixel electrode which is connected to the thin film transistor and is arranged on the thin film transistor, a common electrode facing the pixel electrode, a roof layer arranged on the common electrode, a micro cavity arranged between the pixel electrode and the common electrode, and a liquid crystal material injected into the micro cavity. The lateral profile of the micro cavity is at 80 to 90 degrees from a horizontal surface.
