PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate work of removing polishing waste attached to an inner surface of a steel pipe.SOLUTION: (A) A polishing waste removing device holds a scraper 20 in a position coaxial to a steel pipe P, which axially rotates in a fixed position. (B) When an unprocessed steel pipe P is supplied in the fixed position, the scraper 20 is inserted by a predetermined length coaxially in the steel pipe P. (C) Then, the scraper 20 is descended, and a blade part 20a is made in contact with an inner surface of the steel pipe P. While the steel pipe P axially rotates, the scraper 20 stops. Therefore, polishing waste attached to the inner surface of the steel pipe P is scraped by the blade part 20a of the scraper 20. A high-speed air flow A is jetted from a nozzle body 61 arranged on a tip end of the scraper 20 while the polishing waste W is scraped, and the scraped polishing waste W is discharged from an opening end Pa of the steel pipe P. |
