<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method of controlling a four-wheel drive car, which can shorten a time required for switching from a two-wheel drive state to a four-wheel drive state.SOLUTION: A four-wheel drive car 200 comprises a propeller shaft 20, a dog clutch 23 connecting the propeller shaft 20 to front wheels 204L, 204R, and a friction clutch 1a capable of transmitting turning force to the propeller shaft 20 for synchronization of the dog clutch 23 in a non-connection state of the dog clutch 23. A control device 9 of the four-wheel drive car, when synchronizing the dog clutch 23 in a two-wheel drive state, if a time required for the synchronization is determined to become equal to or more than a first predetermined value, rotates the propeller shaft 20 by operation of the friction clutch 1a of a driving power transmission device 1.</p> |
