<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing ink composition that contains carbon black as a black pigment, allows thin film printing, and can impart print density to a printed matter practical in printing, and to provide a printing ink composition having such characteristics that when the ink composition is used for newspaper printing employing a permeation-dry system, a lightweight newsprint paper compared to conventional paper can be used by utilizing features of a high-density ink free of offset or strike-through and that the ink composition contributes to reduction in a cost of newsprint paper or to reduction in an environmental load by preservation of forest resources.SOLUTION: The printing ink composition contains carbon black by 20 to 40 mass% as a black pigment, and contains an alkyd resin as a vehicle component. The alkyd resin has an acid value of a solid content of 1.5 to 5 mgKOH/g or the alkyd resin has a hydroxyl group value of the solid content of 5 to 15 mgKOH/g.</p> |
