PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vacuum cleaner which has a cyclone separation type dust collection part that is compact and shows high dust capturing (dust collecting) performance and suppresses scattering of fine dust in the disposal of the waste.SOLUTION: In an electric vacuum cleaner having a dust collection device detachably attached to a vacuum cleaner body 1 in the upstream part of an electric fan, the dust collection device includes a dust case 12 having an air suction port positioned coaxially with a central axis of the electric fan when being seen from above the vacuum cleaner body and a cyclone case for separating dust from air containing the dust inside the dust case 12. The cyclone case has a communication port communicating with the air suction port and a separation part discharging port for discharging the separated dust on a front surface. The separation part discharging port communicates with a dust collection space formed of the cyclone case and the dust case 12. The cyclone case has a first flow passage for discharging the air in which the dust is eliminated on the upstream side of the separation part discharging port and a second flow passage for discharging the air on the downstream side of the dust collection space. A filter is provided on the second flow passage. |
