<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle anti-collision apparatus configured to properly determine whether to perform collision avoidance operation with respect to a stop object which is likely to collide with a vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle anti-collision apparatus includes: a storage control section 7 which stores sequentially detected vehicle speeds V of a vehicle 1 in a storage section 6; a stop object detection section 8 which detects a stop object located ahead of the vehicle 1; an obstacle determination section 9 which determines whether the stop object is an obstacle which is highly likely to collide with the vehicle 1; and a collision avoidance determination section 10 which compares a first vehicle speed V1 stored in the storage section 6 a predetermined time T1 earlier than obstacle determination where the stop object is determined to be an obstacle, with a second vehicle speed V2 detected at the time of obstacle determination, and determines that collision avoidance operation is required for avoiding a collision between the vehicle 1 and the obstacle when the second vehicle speed V2 is lower than the first vehicle speed V1 and a speed differenceΔV between the first vehicle speed V1 and the second vehicle speed V2 is less than a speed differenceΔVc.</p> |
