<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent thermal damage to a cutting wheel tool in order to extend its lifetime compared to conventional tools even when the tool is used for cutting a workpiece made of a highly heat-resistant material.SOLUTION: A cutting wheel tool 10 comprises a disk-shaped metal base 11, a periphery of which is formed to have asperities with a wavy contour continuously repeated along a circumferential direction. A perimeter cutting edge 15 is formed by electro-depositing diamond abrasive grains, for example, to the periphery of the metal base 11. A cutting device equipped with the cutting wheel tool 10 thus constructed also comprises an injection nozzle N1, which injects coolant gas for cooling cuttings adhering to the perimeter cutting edge 15 of the cutting wheel tool. An orifice of the injection nozzle N1 is oriented toward a perimeter cutting edge 15A of the cutting wheel tool, which is positioned rearward in a wheel rotating direction with respect to a contact point P at which the perimeter cutting edge 15 of the cutting wheel tool makes contact with the workpiece.</p> |
