PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge device having a high energy efficiency and suppressing the occurrence of EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference) and power consumption.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge device comprises: a piezoelectric element 40 for varying with a voltage Vout; an auxiliary power supply circuit 50 for supplying electric charges to the piezoelectric element 40; a first signal path supplied with a first voltage by the auxiliary power supply circuit 50; a second signal path supplied with a second voltage higher than the first voltage by the auxiliary power supply circuit 50; and a driver 30 for connecting the piezoelectric element 40 and the power supply circuit 50 electrically by using the first signal path or the second signal path in response to the voltage of a control signal Vin and the held voltage of the piezoelectric element 40. The auxiliary power supply circuit 50 includes: a first CP circuit 51 for outputting voltages of two kinds or more; and a second CP circuit 52 for outputting voltages of three kinds or more to be applied to the piezoelectric element 40, by using the voltages of two kinds or more outputted from the first CP circuit 51.
