PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable recording a RAW image so that it can be reproduced easily, as required, without requiring a circuit performing development at high speed, and to provide a control method therefor.SOLUTION: At the time of shooting, first coded image data, based on the image data obtained by simple development of a RAW image data, is recorded together with the RAW image, and a second coded image data, based on the image data obtained by high image quality development of a RAW image data, is generated and recorded later. The data amount of the second coded image data is estimated at the time of shooting, and a region based on this data amount is reflected, as a region for recording the second coded image data based on this data amount, on the management information of a recording medium, thus ensuring the region of the recording medium. |
