PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation angle detection device capable of detecting a quadrant of a resolver angle with high accuracy.SOLUTION: In a quadrant calculation unit 13. an excitation pulse generation unit 131 outputs an excitation pulse signal obtained by binarizing an excitation signal. Phase delay generation units 132a and 132b respectively generate signals obtained by delaying phases of a SIN signal and a COS signal by a prescribed phase delay amount Φ, and a resolver pulse generation unit 133 generates a SIN pulse signal and a COS pulse signal obtained by respectively binarizing the signals generated by the phase delay generation units. An identical/opposite phase determination unit 134 determines whether the phase of the excitation signal is identical or opposite to those of the SIN signal and the COS signal, on the basis of the excitation pulse signal, the SIN pulse signal, and the COS pulse signal. A quadrant determination unit 135 determines which of a first quadrant, a second quadrant, a third quadrant, and a fourth quadrant a resolver angle exists in, on the basis of the determination result of the unit 134. |
