PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device capable of effectively making use of excitation light by a simple configuration, and further to provide a projector.SOLUTION: A light source device comprises: a light emitting element having a first light-emitting region and a second light-emitting region and emitting excitation light having a first wavelength range; a phosphor layer being provided so as to overlap with the first light-emitting region as viewed in a plan view and emitting light having a second wavelength range different from the first wavelength range by irradiation of first excitation light emitted from the first light-emitting region; a reflective element being provided at a side opposite to a light emitting element of the phosphor layer, transmitting the light having the second wavelength range and reflecting the light having the first wavelength range; and a light guide section being disposed in an optical path between the phosphor layer and the reflective element, transmitting second excitation light emitted from the second light-emitting region and light emitted from the phosphor layer and guiding the second excitation light such that at least a part of the second excitation light reflected on the reflective element is made incident on the phosphor layer. |
