<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a dross to be removed suitably so as not to reside in a processing groove in a laser processing apparatus that processes a workpiece by irradiating a target point of the surface of the workpiece with laser beams to melt the target point.SOLUTION: A laser processing apparatus comprises a laser irradiation part 10 that irradiates a target point 202 of a surface 201 of a workpiece 200 with laser beams and four gas nozzles 20 annularly provided on a side of the target point 202 to jet a gas toward the workpiece 200. In each gas nozzle 20, a gas jet angleθis the same acute angle to the surface 201 of the workpiece 200. In each gas nozzle 20, a gas jet direction axis 21 directs to an offset position away from the target point 202 by a predetermined distance a1, where this predetermined distance a1 is the same distance in all the gas nozzles 20. The gas jetted out of each gas nozzle 20 forms a vortex flow turning around the target point 202.</p> |
