PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch detection device that enables high position resolution to be attained, while increasing detection sensitivity with respect to a touch.SOLUTION: A display device with a touch detection function comprises: a plurality of drive electrodes COML that are juxtaposed so as to extend in one direction; a detection electrode that extends in a direction orthogonal to an extending direction of the drive electrodes and is arranged so as to form a static capacitance at a crossing part where the direction crosses the extending direction; a scan drive unit that sequentially selects drive object electrodes (drive range An) by a plurality of prescribed pieces in time division from the plurality of drive electrodes, and implements a scan drive by applying a touch detection drive signal having a plurality of pulse waveforms for detecting an external proximate object to the selected drive object electrodes; and a touch detection unit that samples a detection result in a touch detection element at timing synchronous with the touch detection drive signal. |
