<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for quantifying free fatty acid in a vegetable oil and/or a sample including a plant body serving as the raw material thereof quickly, simply and accurately.SOLUTION: A method for quantifying free fatty acid in the sample, uses a regression for quantifying free fatty acid in a vegetable oil and/or the sample including the plant body serving as the raw material, a regression obtained by the method including following steps (1)-(3), and near infrared spectroscopy data in a test sample in a wavelength area used for creation of the regression. The steps (1)-(3) are configured to: (1) measure near infrared spectroscopy of the sample, solvent extraction liquid of the sample, or fat concentrate obtained by removing the solvent from the solvent extraction liquid; (2) specifically quantify the free fatty acid in the sample used in the step (1); and (3) analyze the spectral data obtained in all or part of wavelength areas of a wavelength range in which the near infrared spectroscopy is measured, and a quantifying value of the free fatty acid by multivariate analysis, for deciding a factor related to the free fatty acid.</p> |
