<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration in adhesion strength between an elastic member and lid member of an optical scanning device due to external contact.SOLUTION: An optical scanning device 1 includes; a light source 219 for emitting a light beam L; a deflecting device 211 for deflecting the light beam such that a photoreceptor 2 is scanned with the light beam from the light source; an image forming optical system 216 for image-forming the light beam deflected by the deflecting device onto the photoreceptor; a housing 220 for holding the light source, deflecting device, and image forming optical system; a lid member 242 to be mounted on the housing; and an elastic seal member 241 to be placed between the lid member and the housing. The elastic seal member is provided along side-walls 220c of the housing. The lid member has a plurality of discrete recesses 242c along the elastic seal member, and a portion of the elastic seal member is filled into the recesses.</p> |
