<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus to prevent a sudden unintended acceleration (SUA) accident, and limiting the speed of a car. The apparatus prevents an SUA accident without an additional electronic device by allowing a driver to mechanically install an upper limit of the opening of a throttle valve inside a car in order to limit a maximum amount of a fuel-air mixture in an engine; enables the driver to freely regulate a desired speed of the car from 1 km/hr; prevents a car accident by an inexperienced driver, an unskilled driver, the old and the infirm, etc.; prevents robbery of the car by controlling a locking device by being pushed to the left to a maximum; and prevents various car accidents from occurring even by neglecting the car keys for driving since an inexperienced person such as a child cannot move the car forwards or backwards. In addition, the apparatus saves a lot of energy when being mounted on a car because of its simple structure, low price, and applicability to all car models manufactured throughout the world; saves energy by supplying energy necessary for a car negotiating a slope as much as a minimum amount of fuel-air mixture to the engine through the throttle valve; reduces accidents resulting from a brake failure due to using the brake excessively while negotiating a slope through engine control; and extends a service period of a brake lining, saving a lot of energy using the brakes less frequently.</p> |
