PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stepless transmission having a safety factor optimized in the hydraulic control of a CVT.SOLUTION: A CVTCU 20 controls a hydraulic pressure to be supplied to a secondary pulley 12, on the basis of the value which is obtained by multiplying a necessary thrust or the thrust necessary for clamping the belt in a non-slip manner by the secondary pulley 12, by a control safety factor. Moreover, the CVTCU 20 calculates a real safety factor by dividing the actual thrust of the secondary pulley 12 by a necessary thrust and by storing the history of the actual safety factor so that the controlling safety factor is corrected on the basis of the history of the actual safety factor. |
