<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which can suppress discharge of suspended particles with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A fixing device comprises: a rotating body 43 for forming a nip part N; and a heating member 60 for heating the rotating body and fixes a toner image t carried by a recording material P onto the recording material by melting it by heat at the nip part. The fixing device comprises: a cover member 141R having a plurality of ribs 141r which are arranged along an outer peripheral surface of the rotating body and are located close to the outer peripheral surface; and gap filling members 142 which are arranged around members supporting longitudinal end parts of the rotating body and have a shape which radially overlaps with the rotating body. The cover member and the gap filling member are formed in a body.</p> |
