<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor number estimation system capable of accurately estimating a floor number on which a user exists in a building by using an atmospheric pressure sensor mounted on a portable terminal.SOLUTION: There is provided a floor number estimation system in which a portable terminal having an atmospheric pressure sensor 11 mounted thereon, a communication device 30 being fixedly installed on a predetermined story floor in a building and having an atmospheric pressure sensor 32 mounted thereon, and a server are communicably connected through a network 200. The portable terminal corrects an atmospheric pressure detected by the atmospheric pressure sensor 11 with an offset acquired from the server and transmits the atmospheric pressure to the server. The server estimates a floor number on the basis of a difference between a reference atmospheric pressure received from the communication device and the corrected atmospheric pressure received from the portable terminal. In addition, the portable terminal may also include a function for estimating a floor number on the basis of an output of a mounted acceleration sensor.</p> |
