PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a stable and safe ultraviolet hazard alleviating composition which can be used daily, and to provide pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and food compositions containing the same.SOLUTION: The invention provides an ultraviolet hazard alleviating composition containing one or more kinds of compounds selected from the group consisting of D-glutamic acid and a salt thereof. The composition may be an external preparation for skin, a cosmetic composition, a wrinkle inhibitor, a sunscreen agent, a pharmaceutical composition for treating and/or preventing skin diseases, a food composition, and a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating cataract. |
