PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an easy and high precise detection of a piston level while assuring an explosion-proof safety and safe work environment continuously for a long period of time even if a place to be detected is full of powder dust.SOLUTION: A piston level detection device for a gas holder comprises a piston level transmitting wire 11 having one end part connected to the upper surface of a piston inside a gas holder main body 1; a slide type drum 14 having the other end part of the piston level transmitting wire 11 connected so as to wind the piston level transmitting wire 11 through its rotation in response to a lifting or descending action of the piston and feed out the piston level transmitting wire 11 and slid in an axial direction as it is rotated; and the number of revolution detecting transmitter 20 for detecting the number of revolution of the slide type drum 14 and for detecting the height of the piston within the gas holder main body 1 on the basis of the number of revolution detected. |
