PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small animal rearing container that enables sufficient observation of a small animal staying at a corner.SOLUTION: The small animal rearing container according to the present invention includes: a base 1 having a substantially box shape having an open top end; a circumferential wall 2 standing on the peripheral edge of the base 1; a fixed frame 6 attached to the edge of the open top end of the circumferential wall 2; and a lid plate 7 attached to the fixed frame 6 such that the lid plate 7 can be freely opened and closed. The circumferential wall 2 is composed of a plurality of glass-plate wall members connected to each other along the circumferential direction. The circumferential wall 2 is provided with a porous sheet having air permeability. The lid plate 7 is provided with a porous sheet having air permeability. The circumferential wall 2 is provided with a window plate 35 such that the window plate 35 can be freely opened and closed. A wall member of the wall members that constitutes a part around corners of the circumferential wall 2 is composed of a bent glass plate such that the bends of the bent glass plate are disposed at the corners.
