PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor capable of easily adjusting a positional relationship in a circumferential direction of a gas circulation hole of a protector and a detecting portion to assemble, and improving the responsivity of gas detection of the detecting portion.SOLUTION: A gas sensor includes: a sensor element structure that has a body fitting 11 which has a rear end facing surface 18a at a par of an inner surface configuring an insertion hole 18 and a bulging portion 30 projecting outward in a diametrical direction with a detecting portion, and in which a tip end facing surface 30a of the bulging portion 30 is inserted in the insertion hole 18 while engaged with the rear end facing surface 18a of the main body fitting 11; a flange portion 51f sandwiched between the rear end facing surface 18a of the main body fitting 11 and the tip end facing surface 30a of the bulging portion; and a protector 51 which is disposed on a tip end side than the flange portion 51f, and has a cylindrical portion 51t covering the detecting portion and provided with a gas circulation hole 56. On the flange portion 51f, a regulating portion 51j fitted with a fitting portion 30e provided on the bulging portion is formed. |
