The present invention relates to an iron-manganese hydroxide, a synthesis method thereof, and a water treatment method using the same. According to the present invention, a synthesis method of an iron-manganese hydroxide mixes and reacts a first aqueous solution comprising an iron ion, a second aqueous solution comprising a manganese ion, and an oxidizing agent, thereby synthesizing an iron-manganese hydroxide of δ-(Fe_(1-X), Mn_x)OOH, wherein x is greater than 0 and less than 1. The synthesized iron-manganese hydroxide is capable of adsorbing and removing after oxidizing trivalent arsenic to pentavalent arsenic. In addition, the iron-manganese hydroxide has magnetism, thus can be easily separated and collected from water by a magnetic force after adsorbing pollutants. |
