The present invention relates to a check valve and, more specifically, relates to a check valve wherein a main disk rapidly closes and a separate auxiliary disk having a smaller area than the main disk completely closes. Therefore, the check valve reduces the velocity of a back flow right before the complete closure of a disk, thereby preventing water hammering and the slam (causing a rise in instantaneous pressure wave, damage to piping, and vibration and noise) of the disk.
