The invention provides a method for theme replacement of a mobile device. The method is characterized by comprising the steps of receiving and analyzing a new theme resource packet so as to obtain new theme resources; mapping the new theme resources and original theme resources so as to generate a resource mapping table; according to the resource mapping table, redirecting at least a part of the original theme resources into the corresponding portion of the new theme resources through a resource redirector; displaying a redirected theme. According to the method, the aim of theme replacement of the mobile device is achieved, the theme can be highly customized, and the theme can be locked and protected.
