Classes 20 (3) and 20 (4) In a draught excluding strip, beading, moulding, or the like 1, composed of rubber or other soft but resilient material, and carried by a substantially inverted U-shaped clip 4, or a series of spaced similarly shaped tags which embrace the edge of a supporting flange &c., 3, the strip fitting closely over the exterior surface of the clip &c. with its lower edges 6 turned inwardly and upwardly around the lower edges of the clips &c. and including oppositely arranged inwardly directed bead-like parts 7 which engage opposite faces of the supporting flange, the upwardly turned edges are formed with outwardly directed bead-like parts 7a which enter longitudinal recesses 4a in the clip &c. The strip may have an integral effective portion 2 of the tubular D section form shown, of sponge rubber, of split tube form, or formed with a rubber lip. If a continuous clip 4 is used it is preferably formed with staggered slits to aid bending. The beads 7 grip the flange 3 as shown, and may override a lateral projection on the flange. The limbs of the clip may be of tapering form to increase the grip on the flange. A covering material may be applied to the strip. Specifications 649,137 and 655,268 are referred to. |
