PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of estimating whether an object sound is remarkable by a single trial.SOLUTION: A remarkableness estimation device for sound includes: a feature quantity extraction part which determines a first time section as a time section presented to a person so that a predetermined sound can be listened to and a second time section as a time section in which the predetermined sound cannot be listened to, and extracts a first feature quantity representing change in size of the pupil of the person in the first time section and a second feature quantity representing change in size of the pupil of the person corresponding to the second time section; and a remarkableness estimation part which estimates the degree of remarkableness of the predetermined sound based upon the degree of the difference between the first feature quantity and second feature quantity.
