PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: even when the correspondence between an image forming apparatus and a network camera monitoring the image forming apparatus is registered, if the image forming apparatus is moved due to change in layout, the network camera cannot monitor the image forming apparatus; and issue a warning, to a user, that the image forming apparatus that should be monitored by the network camera has been moved to the outside of a monitoring area, without requiring complicated video analysis.SOLUTION: A device management system detects the state of an image forming apparatus (in execution of a job) in which a characteristic LED and display unit are lighted in a video captured by a network camera and photographs the image forming apparatus in that state with the network camera, so as to determine whether or not characteristic points such as the lighting of the LED and display unit is detected and determine whether or not the image forming apparatus is present within a monitoring range of the network camera. |
