PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting element capable of further improving the light emission efficiency.SOLUTION: A light-emitting element comprises: a plurality of mesa-type compound semiconductor lamination parts 10 in each of which a first conductivity type semiconductor layer, a light-emitting layer, and a second conductivity type semiconductor layer are laminated in this order; a first electrode part 20 electrically connected with the first conductivity type semiconductor layer; and a second electrode part 30 electrically connected with the second conductivity type semiconductor layer. The plurality of mesa-type compound semiconductor lamination parts 10 are arranged in a matrix in a plan view. The first electrode part 20 has a bottom part electrode part 21 arranged around the plurality of mesa-type compound semiconductor lamination parts 10. The second electrode part 30 includes: an apex part electrode part 31 covering the second conductivity type semiconductor layer; and a coupling electrode part 32 electrically connecting between the apex part electrode parts of the mesa-type compound semiconductor lamination parts 10 that are adjacent to each other for example in a row direction of the matrix. The bottom part electrode part 21 includes an extended electrode part 22 extending to between the mesa-type compound semiconductor lamination parts 10 that are adjacent to each other in the row direction, for example in a column direction of the matrix. |
