PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions, kits and methods for the treatment or prevention of ocular allergies and inflammations as well as the symptoms thereof comprising alcaftadine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.SOLUTION: The invention provides medicines for treating/preventing the clinical symptoms of ophthalmic inflammation, ophthalmologic compositions containing 0.005-10% by weight of a composition of alcaftadine (6,11-dihydro-11-(1-methyl-4-piperidinylidene)-5H-imidazo [2,1-b] [3] benzazepine-3-carboxy aldehyde) or 6,11-dihydro-11-(1-methyl-4-piperidinylidene)-5H-imidazo [2,1-b] [3] benzazepine-3-carboxylic acid, a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, a N-oxide thereof, a hydrate thereof, a solvate thereof, a polymorphism thereof, and a mixture thereof. |
