WALKING MEASUREMENT INSTRUMENT AND METHOD OF EVALUATING WALKING FUNCTION USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking measurement instrument that can be easily introduced to general homes and care facilities to enable building-up of an objective evidence as to a personal environmental change in the walking function, and to provide a method of evaluating the walking function using the same.SOLUTION: In a walking measurement instrument, 64 lines of sensors are arranged with 30 mm interval in a walking mat 1. Positions and time a person to be measured stepped are monitored so that a personal computer 4 calculates the strides and the walking speed. A walking state of the measured person is analyzed on the basis of the measured walking data so that the measured person can confirm his/her own walking ability.
