Disclosed are a hybrid automatic repeat request method and a related apparatus, which are used in the technical field of communications. In some feasible implementation manners of the present invention, the method comprises: receiving a data packet sent by a sending end; checking N data subblocks comprised in the data packet, and generating feedback information according to a check result, the feedback information comprising N check characters corresponding to the N data subblocks, and the check characters being acknowledgement (ACK) characters or non-acknowledgement (NACK) characters; and returning the feedback information to the sending end. In the technical solutions of the present invention, because the feedback information comprising N check characters corresponding to N data subblocks is used and the feedback information is returned to a sending end, data subblocks can be selected according to non-acknowledgement (NACK) characters and can be retransmitted, the sending end can adaptively retransmit erroneous data subblocks; and therefore, the technical solutions are specific and can improve the utilization rate of a resource and reduce the transmission delay. |
