PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing apparatus configured to stabilize the amount of developer, while preventing increase of device size and cost, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A developing apparatus 20 includes: a supply auger 22 for conveying developer to be supplied to a developing roller 21 in a first direction D1; an admix auger 23 for conveying the developer in a second direction D2; a first opening 26 for transferring the developer from the supply auger 22 to the admix auger 23; a reverse helical blade 22C for reversing the flow of developer; a developer discharging section 25 which discharges developer overflowing the reverse helical blade 22C; a first paddle 27 for causing the developer to stagnate in a position facing the first opening 26; and a second paddle 28 for causing the developer to stagnate downstream of the first opening 26. The second paddle 28 has developer stagnating performance which is lower than that of the first paddle 27. |
