PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antistatic agent that gives an excellent antistatic property to a thermoplastic resin molded article without impairing mechanical characteristics or a favorable appearance of the molded article.SOLUTION: The antistatic agent comprises a block polymer (A) and an anionic surfactant (B) represented by formula (1), the block polymer (A) having a structure where a block of a hydrophilic polymer (a) having a volume resistivity value of from 1×10to 1×10&OHgr; cm, and a block of a hydrophobic polymer (b) are alternately bound repeatedly via at least one bond selected from an ester bond, amide bond, ether bond, urethane bond, and imide bond: (R-)nXZ(1). [In formula (1), R represents a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 8 to 30 carbon atoms; Xrepresents a sulfonate group, sulfinate group, sulfate group, carboxylate group, phosphate group, or phosphite group; and Zrepresents an amidinium, pyridinium, pyrazolium, or guanidium cation; and n is 1 or 2. |
