The plate-shaped member of a cutting tool comprises two roughly rectangular side surfaces, an upper surface and a lower surface that extend in the direction of the long sides of the rectangles, and two end faces that are the two end faces in the direction of the short sides and configured so that a cutting edge is located on one end. One of the side surfaces is a curved surface that swells outward. The lower surface has a slanted portion that is slanted with respect to the upper surface. Said plate-shaped member is held by a tool block, which has a lower surface-hooking surface that contacts the lower surface, and is fixed to the tool block using a clamp member having an upper surface-hooking surface that contacts the upper surface of the plate-shaped member.
