<p> The present invention provides a heat-sensitive recording material in which an unrecorded portion has little background fogging due to heat, the heat-sensitive recording material having exceptional stability in preserving a color-developed image. A heat-sensitive recording material in which a heat-sensitive color-developing layer provided on a support medium consists mainly of a normally colorless or light-colored color-developable compound, a color-developing compound capable of causing the color-developable compound to develop a color on heating, and a sensitizer, wherein the heat-sensitive recording material contains, as the color-developing compound, bis-(3-allyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)sulfone having α-type crystals and a compound expressed by formula (1).</p> |
