<p>The invention provides, inter alia, methods that are diagnostic and/or prognostic for cancer, particularly metastatic cancer, more particularly metastatic melanoma. These methods entail measuring the expression levels of immunokines— such as ILla, IL1 β, IL4, IL5, IL6, IL10, IL12, IL13, IL8, CCL3, CCL4, CCL5, CCL1 1, CCL17, CCL22, CXCL9, and CCXCL10— in a biological sample from a subject.
