<p>A method for assessing video quality and a related device. The method comprises: according to content of a video stream segment, a server obtains quality information of the video stream segment; according to the content of the video stream segment, the server obtains quality information of the video stream segment; according to the quality information of the video stream segment, the server generates media description information; the server sends the media description information to a video playback client, enabling the video playback client, according to the media description information and the obtained video stream segment, to generate first video stream quality information. The present method and device thereby achieve low-cost assessment of video quality, without it being necessary to transmit operation video data to a server.</p> |
