<p>Provided is a sliding component that, by means of preventing the occurrence of vapor cavitation in a pumping groove of a sliding surface, can prevent deposits from arising. The present invention is characterized in that one sliding surface at which a pair of sliding components slide relative to each other is provided with a first pumping groove (10) that interconnects with a high-pressure-fluid side, is isolated from a low-pressure-fluid side by a sealing surface, and has an angle at which a fluid is discharged to the high-pressure-fluid side by means of the relative sliding with respect to the partner-side sliding surface, is further provided with a second pumping groove (11) that interconnects with the low-pressure-fluid side, is isolated from the high-pressure-fluid side by the sealing surface, and has an angle at which the fluid is discharged to the high-pressure-fluid side by means of the relative sliding with respect to the partner-side sliding surface, and the low-pressure-fluid side end of the first pumping groove and the high-pressure-fluid side end of the second pumping groove and disposed in propinquity.</p> |
