<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent sheets from being offset and prevent a stack from not being square from top to bottom.SOLUTION: A tray 115 has a base 119 and receives print media sheets. Registration guides 139, 139a, 143 are connected to the tray 115. The registration guides 139, 139a, 143 define a corner 147 in the tray 115. A tamper mechanism 150 comprises a rotating helical brush extending perpendicularly from the base 119 adjacent to a side of the tray 115 opposite to the corner 147. The tamper mechanism 150 is positioned to tamp the print media sheets against the registration guides 139, 139a, 143 causing a stack of the print media sheets to be squared against the corner 147.</p> |
