<p>The present invention relates to a scum removing apparatus, comprising: a scum hopper installed in a water pipe of a purification plant by a supporting unit, which has an inlet hole to receive scum floating over waste water flowing in the water pipe; and an absorbing unit which is connected to the scum hopper by a mutual connection pipe and includes a discharging pipe whose end part is connected to a scum collecting tank for storing scum and a fluid receiving member installed in the discharging pipe to force fluid to flow in the discharging pipe at high speed to generate an absorbing force for absorbing scum through venturi effects. The scum removing apparatus according to the present invention has an absorbing unit which absorbs scum floating over waste water through venturi effect, generated by high speed fluid, thereby improving efficiency of removing scum.</p> |
