The present invention relates to a method for managing a certificate. According to the present invention, the method for managing a certificate is implemented through a management server formed on or connected with certificate use procedure paths in which procedures using the certificates are performed through communication networks, and comprises: a first step of checking that a certificate effectiveness authentication procedure is performed using a certificated revocation list (CRL) on the certificate use procedure paths; a second step of generating certificate use information regarding that the certificate use procedure is performed on the certificate use procedure paths by using certificate procedure information related to the certificate effectiveness authentication procedure using the CRL; and a third step of connecting a designed calling means of a real user who is issued the certificate and a calling channel, and performing a procedure which notifies the certificate use information to the calling means of the real user through the calling channel.
