<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform more suitable dust correction.SOLUTION: On the basis of image data obtained from a reader, a provisional dust area being a provisional area in which a dust can exist on a reading glass is determined. On the basis of the feature amount of the determined provisional dust area, correction width for correcting the size of the provisional dust area is obtained. The size of the provisional dust area is corrected by using the obtained correction width, thereby identifying a correction area to correct the image data obtained by reading a document by the reader.</p> |
