PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preventive agent for tooth root surface caries which inhibits dentin collagen degradation in the caries generated in the dentin of a tooth root surface, further suppresses mineral elution (decalcification) of the dentin, and promotes remineralization, and to provide an oral cavity composition including the same.SOLUTION: The invention provides a local area liniment to a tooth root surface for preventing/improving root surface caries containing a preventive agent for root surface caries consisting of flavanones and/or a glycoside thereof, particularly preferably hesperidin and/or a hesperidin sugar adduct. The invention also provides a local area liniment to a tooth root surface for preventing/improving root surface caries containing the preventive agent for root surface caries, which is filled in a pen type applicator for oral cavity compositions. |
