Left and right trial prescription lenses, a reference lens common to left and right, and reference object planes common to left and right and including a plurality of reference planes are defined, and principal-ray transit positions on the reference lens and on the trial prescription lenses are calculated, said principal-ray transit positions being where principal rays from each point on the plurality of object planes transit. The ratio of the distance between a point where the reference lens intersects with the visual axis in a frontal view and the principal-ray transit position on the reference lens, to the distance between points where the trial prescription lenses intersect with the visual axes in a frontal view and principal-ray transit positions on the trial prescription lenses is calculated, the curvature distribution of the trial prescription lenses is corrected by respectively correcting for left and right, on the basis of the ratio, the curvature at the trial-prescription-lens principal-ray transit positions corresponding to each point on the plurality of object planes, and the curvature distribution of prescription lenses is corrected on the basis of the curvature distribution of the corrected trial prescription lenses. |
